How Sponsorship Works
£18 a month (59p a day) will provide food, care and education for a child.
Every month your money will be used to help the children in our care.
When we started, individual children were sponsored. However, we found this to be unfair as the sponsored children were receiving letters and gifts - while the others were left out.
We will now be asking all the children to write letters or draw pictures which will be sent to sponsors with photos. So instead of having one child, you will now have many!

8 Year Old Boy
Thi's father died and his mother remarried. His mother then died and his stepfather remarried. His new stepmother did not want him. He was passed on to his stepfather’s parents who did not want him, so he was thrown out of the house and left to fend for himself on the street until found and taken to the monastery.
Min Min Swe
6 Year Old Girl
She has been here for 2 months. Her parents neglected her and she was left to wander the streets in search of food. She was found and taken in by the nuns.
San San
10 Year Old Girl
San's parents were very poor labourers. Her father died when she was young and her mother became mentally ill and disappeared leaving San San abandoned at age 8.
